RAID stands for redundant array of independent disks. RAID systems are a collection of hard disk drives integrated by means of uniquely designed software. The purpose for the creation of RAID systems is twofold. The first use, but by no means the most important use of RAID systems is for large-scale storage of digital information. Obviously, 10, 20, or one hundred synchronized hard disks can hold more information than any single large disk. And, when properly accessed these individual disks can transfer more information faster. The other essential function of raid systems is to serve, as the name would suggest, as a redundant protection factor. Data stored on raid systems is placed in duplicate and triplicate so that should one access fail the secondary access will immediately answer. Clearly, anyone can see that RAID systems are a complicated apparatus. So much so that when they fail only a handful of data recovery service experts are capable of their repair. Disk Doctors service labs are noted throughout the world for their ability and precision in the area of RAID recovery. With 30 Disk Doctors Service Labs located in North America alone it is little wonder that Disk Doctors is considered to be the world’s RAID recovery experts.

There was a time not too long ago that hard drive recovery required you to dismantle your PC, remove the hard drive and ship the disk drive away to data recovery service lab. While these labs are still very much in use today and extremely important when one needs to rescue files trapped on a physically damaged hard disk drive, they are much less needed to recover files from a hard disk drive has that been the victim of a logic crash. With over 90% of all hard drive recovery required being relative to an instance of logic crash it is little wonder that so many home and business computer users are opting to save money with do-it-yourself hard drive recovery. Of course the expression is not entirely accurate. You will need a little help from Disk Doctors. For hard drive recovery Disk Doctors has several programs available. These will match up exactly with your type of computer and the operating system running on it. So, whether you’re running Linux on an HP netbook or Mac OS 10 on a super sleek Macintosh desktop, or even if you’re simply using Windows XP on a seven-year-old Dell, there is an easy to use Disk Doctors program for your hard drive recovery.
